Choreographers’ Showcase is a rare opportunity for high school dancers to learn and perform with critically acclaimed choreographers. The performance brings world-renowned choreographers, and their original works, to the Learning Corridor's Theater of the Performing Arts, in Hartford.
We will be having a pre show event celebrating our Kim Stroud, longtime Director of Our school. If you would like to come to the reception before the show, and stay and see the performce, you can get a sliding scale ticket for that. Can only make the show or the event? We have tickets for that as well. You can even donate to the new Kim Stroud Scholarship for Dance Excellence.

This year, the Academy welcomes the following featured choreographers: Nina Watt will be staging a section of José Limón’s Psalm, An Urban Bush Women piece staged by company member Tendayi Kuumba, Alumus Rickey Flagg ’09 will create an original work, Chair Alexa Melonopoulos Fleury will stage Laura Glenn’s Presidential Tango. Faculty member Thomas Giroir will create a new piece for our students.
